English Description
General Description:
The TJM Pro Series Twin Air Compressor is engineered for ultimate functionality and performance. It has undergone extensive testing in the Australian Outback, ensuring reliability for overlanding adventures and providing dependable air for inflating tires and equipment. The compressor's exterior is constructed from a robust combination of cast and extruded aluminum, offering superior protection for its oversized internal components, including a hard-anodized cylinder bore and a Teflon-impregnated piston seal. A patented convection cooling system with an internal fan ensures optimal thermal management. This versatile unit features multiple air outlets ranging from 1/8 to 1/4 inches and can be mounted in various orientations, either vertically or horizontally. It operates on a 12V DC system with a current draw of 40 amps per compressor, delivering a high flow rate of 170 Liters per minute. The package includes twin compressors, two vertical bases, a wiring harness with a switch, and essential hardware. It is an ideal choice for professionals, outdoor enthusiasts, and individuals undertaking DIY projects due to its power, efficiency, and rugged, compact design. An integrated air tank further enhances its performance.

Installation Guide:
Before beginning installation, carefully read all instructions and verify that all listed components are provided.
Installation should be performed by suitably qualified personnel.
The estimated fitting time is 2 hours for horizontal or vertical configurations in an open area, and 5 hours for vertical configurations in a confined area.
Any holes drilled into the vehicle body must be treated with rust preventative paint.
Holes drilled for cable routing require a suitable sized rubber wiring grommet to prevent cable damage.
Always place the product on a soft workspace to prevent damage prior to installation.
Do not mount the compressor below the vehicle's water-wading line; refer to the vehicle manufacturer for this specification.
The compressor surfaces, especially the head section, become very hot during operation. Mount the unit away from flammable materials and avoid locations where it could be accidentally touched while operating.
The compressor is rated exclusively for 12 V DC systems.
Ensure the wiring harness and connectors are routed to the desired location and direction before mounting the compressor.
The male 5-Pin connector, along with two ANS Fuses and Fuse Holders, are supplied unassembled. It is recommended that qualified personnel assemble these components.
Maintain a minimum clearance of 1.0 cm from the Air Filter surface and 1.5 cm from the fan housings of the compressor.
Avoid installing the compressor in proximity to heat sources or direct sunlight.
To connect the TJM Airline Kit, remove one of the 1/4” BSPT plugs from the air tank using a 6mm hex key.
Apply sealant paste (e.g., Loctite 567) or sealant tape to the threaded fittings of any accessories before insertion.
If the safety relief valve was removed, re-install it to the same port after applying sealant.
Allow adequate curing time for any thread sealant according to the manufacturer's specifications.
Avoid overtightening fittings to prevent damage to the threads.
Operating Instructions:
Switch on the compressor using the actuator switch.
The compressor will pressurize to approximately 8.27 bar and then automatically switch off.
For tire inflation, connect the hose to the 1/4" BSPT port using a quick-connect fitting.
Connect the tire chuck to the tire valve; the compressor will automatically restart to supply air.
Verify that the desired pressure is reached using a tire pressure gauge; measure the pressure with no airflow to the tire for an accurate reading.
After use, switch off both the Locker switches and the compressor switch.
It is recommended to operate the compressor with the vehicle engine running to prevent battery drain.
If the compressor stops unexpectedly, the thermal cut-off may have activated. Turn off the power switch and allow the compressor to cool for at least 45 minutes before attempting to restart.
Post Installation Checklist:
Complete a compressor operational check.
Perform a leak test by pressurizing the system to 8.27 bar, spraying soapy water on all fittings, and ensuring no bubbles appear and the compressor does not reactivate within 10 minutes.
Confirm that the compressor is safely mounted using appropriate hardware.
Verify that the wiring loom is installed according to the TJM diagram.
Ensure all air lines are securely installed.
Check that switches are hard-mounted to the dash, are out of reach of accidental activation, and function and illuminate correctly.
