Find a suitable location for the ARB Air Compressor, ensuring it allows free flow of dry, cool air to the air filter assembly and provides at least 5.0 cm (2 inches) of ventilation space around the cooling fans on the back of the motors. Access to the air filter assemblies for cleaning should also be maintained. The compressor has a built-in mounting bracket; however, vehicle-specific brackets can also be used for easier installation. Secure the mounting bracket with at least four M6 or larger bolts, spread as widely apart as possible. Apply thread sealant (Teflon paste or tape) to the threads of the pressure switch before installation. For wiring, route the loose male spade terminals, assemble them into the supplied plastic connector housing (matching colors, red to purple), and then plug the connectors together and route the end of the switch loom to the compressor. If used for Air Lockers or general inflation without direct coupling to the compressor, an ARB manifold is required. Connect the stainless-steel braided air hose to the compressor and manifold.
