English Description
General Description:
The ARB Brushless Twin Mounted On-Board Air Compressor (CKBLTA12) is a high-performance air compressor designed for adventurers and off-road enthusiasts. It features industry-first brushless motor technology, offering a 50% increase in air output compared to ARB's previous market-leading compressors. This design ensures unmatched efficiency, durability, and a longer lifespan by eliminating wear-prone components and the need for maintenance. The compressor operates at a 100% duty cycle, allowing for continuous high-power operation without overheating. It also incorporates smart design features like staggered start-up to reduce power spikes and prevent strain on the vehicle's electrical system, and electronic speed control for optimal performance. Active cooling with built-in fans further enhances longevity and performance.

Installation Guide:
The installation guide emphasizes careful planning and trial-fitting the compressor to establish the best final mounting position, ensuring access to output and intake ports, and proper ventilation. The compressor should never be mounted as un-sprung mass (e.g., mounted directly to the axle or engine block). When choosing a location, ensure free flow of dry, cool air to the air filter assembly, or use Air Filter Relocation Kits (ARB #171319) if necessary. A minimum of 50 mm (2 inches) ventilation space around the cooling fans on the back of the motors is recommended.
Connections made directly to the compressor must be high temperature tolerant, capable of withstanding up to 150°C (300°F), due to the heat generated by its high performance. Valves and hose couplings can be safely attached at external locations after an air tank or manifold, or at the end of a high-temperature hose longer than 1.2 meters (47 inches).
The air filters can be relocated using extension tubes, but it's crucial to use the correct length and inside diameter to avoid restricting intake flow, which could negatively affect performance, lead to overheating, or damage components.
For wiring, it is critical to run power directly from the battery, use appropriately rated cables, install the fuse close to the battery, and ensure a solid earth connection. Never connect power to the compressor while the vehicle key is in the ACC position to prevent accidental start-up. It is highly recommended to leave the vehicle running to get maximum performance and avoid depleting the battery.
