Installation Guide:
This product must be installed exactly as per the provided instructions. Repairs or modifications to this product must not be attempted. It is recommended that this product is only installed by trained personnel. During installation, the installer must check the correct operation and clearances of all components. Always work safely. Unless otherwise instructed, tighten fasteners to their specified torque.
Installation Steps:
1. Carefully open the package using a box cutter or knife and ensure all hardware is included and undamaged.
2. Position the slide inside the vehicle where mounting is desired. Pull the slide forward halfway to expose the four mounting hole locations.
3. Optional: Mark all four locations with a marker. Drill four pilot holes, then mount the slide to the location using M8 hardware (not included).
4. Locate the feet on the bottom of the ARB fridge.
5. Unscrew the center bolt using a 5mm Allen wrench.
6. Remove all four foot-bolts.
7. Locate the three holes in each corner of the slide.
8. Remove the M6 bolt that fastens each of the four rubber feet to the base of the fridge. Secure the fridge to the tray, ensuring the rubber feet are correctly located between the fridge and the tray and that bolts are not overtightened. ARB recommends using a non-permanent thread sealant on these bolts.
9. Adjusting the Guide Bearings: There are two pairs of adjustable guide bearings. To adjust the front pair of bearings, loosen both bolts. Position the fridge slide until the bearings contact the running surface of the tray, then tighten the bolts to the recommended assembly torque. Repeat for the rear bearings, but slide the bearings towards the outside of the frame. Once adjusted, there should be an even gap between the fridge slide tray and both sides of the frame, and no sideways movement in the tray.
10. Repositioning the Latch: The release latch can be fitted to either the right-hand or left-hand side of the fridge slide. Remove both anti-vibration stoppers. Loosen the rear horizontal guide bearings. Press down on the latch to release the tray and expose the latch and spring assembly. Reassemble the latch to the desired side of the fridge slide frame, ensuring it can rotate freely and the spring is correctly installed. Insert the tray back into position. If necessary, adjust the tightness of the M8 bolt to achieve the desired latch operation. Install the anti-vibration stops.
